Construction Type: Suspended COMSLABĀ® Floors and AMVIC ICF exterior walls
Features: This heritage building-turned-commercial space was a challenging build from the start. Conventional construction methods were hindered by site access due to the downtown core location ie. no cranes allowed. While a problem for most, Greyfield drew on its own expertise and utilized smart building technology: ComSlabĀ® floors and ICF exterior walls. Greyfield started by tackling a common Toronto problem: lowering the basement for additional head space and underpinning the entire basement lot-line to lot-line. Greyfield also self-performed all of the cast-in-place concrete work, shoring, elevator shaft, stair shafts and suspended concrete floors, while strictly adhering to the Heritage Act and maintaining the entire original facade.
